What is Laser Cladding

Laser cladding is a process in which material in the form of powder or wire is fused at the height of a substrate. The laser acts in this process as heat source for creating a melt pool. The applied layer is metallurgically bonded to the underlying material (5-10% mixture) and shows little or no porosity.
